Genjintch Guide:
This is a Genjintch Guide that I made fairly recently, and this is my own information, please don't take unless I give you permission.I am going to start with the icons, then move on.
1st Icon:
This first icon is the weights icon. Press B and this allows you to view your Genjintch's weight, progress on evolution and its happy and hungry hearts.
First screen shows you a pixelated picture of a babytchi in mid air, and an object below it, set your eyes to the right of this and you'll see 2 other things. The first thing being a a piece of writing saying 4 and two what look like building blocks. This indicates how long its been since you Genjintch has arrived on Earth. The digit beside the two blocks doesn't stay 4, the digit changes every day, as your Genjintch gets a year older, and that number will change to 5, then 6, then 7 and so on. It start on one though. The second thing shows a number between 1 and 99 and some japenese symbols, which means pounds or gramms. This indicates how much your Genjintch weighs.
Press A once and you can check how hungry your little guy is, press A again and check how happy he is. At first this may puzzle you a bit, as when your checking how hungry your Genjintch is, your not quite sure which hearts mean what, as the writing is in Japenese. So remember when first caring for your guy, the first set of hearts are the hungey hearts, and the second set of hearts are the happy ones.
After this there are the evolution bars. These are basically the same as training bars, but there is one difference, gain these bars and your Genjintch is more likely to grow up into a more happier and healthier character, mind you to get a good character, you have to praise virtually instantly when he needs you.
2nd Icon:
The half eaten meat icon. By looking at this icon closely, you'll find that this icon shows a half eaten piece of meat. In tribal men's opinions this would mean food, and this is exactly what this second icon is. You have the choice of feeding your Genjintch some ordinary meat or some mushrooms. The mushrooms are the snacks, I advise not to give your Genjintch to much of them, and the meat is the meal.
3rd Icon:
Click the 3rd Icon, being a bone, and you enter the Happiness UP Game, or as I call it, 'find the bone'. This is the only game on Genjintch, and its a pretty fun one . What you have to do is try and get 5 bones, the way you can do this is pretty simple. What it shows you is 5 holes and an arrow pointing downwards at the holes, in these holes are either a bone or nothing. You have 5 attempts to find as many bones as you can, to check for a bone press B, and to scroll to the next hole press A. If you get 3 or 4 bones you gain one point and one happy or two happy hearts, gain all five bones and you gain two points and totally fill all the happy hearts you lost.
4th Icon:
The poo. When Genjintch does a poo, press B on this icon and it'll clear that dirty mess that your guy has done. I have found out that Genjintches don't poo when they're hungry, they can poo at any random time. And also if you don't clear it up, your Genjintch can get sick!
5th Icon:
Praising. One feature that is only on Genjintch is making pottery. This is a fascinating feature, and very well thought. When Genjintch beeps for you about 7 times in a row this means that he is making pottery. This is his form of crying for attention or turning its back on you. Go to this icon and praise him, this will making jump up and down for joy, and make him gain three evolution bars!
6th Icon:
The herb icon is the Genjintches version of a first aid kit. When Genjintch is sick press this icon and he'll bob his head up and down or do some other sought of strange movement. It normally takes two doses until Genjintch is better.
7th Icon:
Time for Bed! When your little guy settles down to rest for the night you don't want to leave his light on, as it'll make it harder for him to sleep. So go to the light icon and turn off the lights so he can sleep in peace.
8th Icon:
When this icon lights up this means your Genjintch needs attention. He will do this if he is making pottery, is ill, has gone to sleep or is completely starving.
Setting up your Genjintch:
When you recive your Genjintch Tamagotchi firstly pull out the tab from the side of it. This will make your Genjintch make a funny noise, and then show a human skull. This indicates that your Genjintch is activated.
Now you have to Press the B button, and the clock settings will appear. To set the clock to the right time press A to change the hours and B to change the minutes. When you've done this press C and the time will start running, mind you, if you prefer 24 hour clock to 12 hour clock press A whilst the time is running and if its after 12:00pm your Genjintches time settings will go until 23:59, which is in otherowrds 11:59pm. Then a minute later it'l change to 0:00.
When you've done all this wait 5 mintues, then eventually your Genjintch will arrive. And you'll have to care for him until he eventually leaves back home in his rocket. If you give your guy to much bad care though, his evolution bars will decrease and his evolution will go backwards. This is what is called regressing. Give your guy good care again and he'll probably progress.
If your Genjintch runs out of batteries you'll need 2 LR44 batteries and a very small and sharp screwdriver. There is two little screws on the back of the tamagotchi, and when you've unscrewed them you can insert the two batteries. When your finished inserting the batteries screw the screws back in until the back of your Genjintch is nice and tight, then unfortunately, if you were in the middle of a life cycle, you can start again.
General Genjintch information:
The Genjintch is otherwise known as the 'Caveman Tamagotchi' or the peking man. This is because the Genjintch tamagotchi is based on a real film called the Peking Man itself. The film was made in 1929, and was based on a family of cavemen who crash landed onto earth in their spaceship. Scientests notice this elusive family of cavemen, and study their lives. Its virtually the same on the Genjintch itself, apart from there is no scientists, just tamagotchi characters.
Anyway the Genjintch came in one design, dark brown with bones scattered all over, lemon yellow buttons and a red trim. Here's a link to one that I found on Jason's store in ebay- cgi.ebay.com/Japanese-Genjitch-Tama...4QQcmdZViewItem
My Genjintch in its original packaging
The Genjintch has 8 characters, and three secret characters. Each in their way very cute and caveman like
My personal notes on the Genjintch tamagotchi:
In some people's opinions they describe the Genjintch as a 'boring' type of tamagotchi, but I disagree, and I hope you do too. In my opinion the Genjintch is a great tamagotchi to have, if you are a collector, or you just like the sound of them. There is only one thing that I don't really like about them, this is that their bedtime schedules are rather weird. For example one character, being a child goes to bed at 10:00, which is way too late, and wakes up at 11:00am!
You can only get them on Ebay, you can't get them in stores, as they were only release in Japan in the first place, and they were made virtually 10 years ago from now.
Anyway I advise you, if you've got one or you want to get one read this information.
Mothra Guide:
This is my very own guide, please don't steal, ask me for permission if you want to use it on your forum, thanks.
Designs:
The Mothra tamagotchi was sold in 1 colour originally, which was the commenest colour, see image below, found on Google Images.
But then Bandai came to a descision of making two special and rarer Mothra designs so they could make the Mothra tamagotchi more popular. These colours were, Green Waves, and transparent blue (thanks Val of Tamagotchiville for letting me use them!).
Mothra Green Waves was sold a lot more than the Transparent blue colour, as people thought the Green design was just generally more intriguing and pretty, and it was Ultra-Rare, like the Transparent blue colour.
The Transparent Blue can very rarely be seen or found anywhere, not on Ebay or any online stores selling Classic Tamagotchis, hardly anyone, apart from the likes of very rich people who live in Japan, has ever purchased one. You can virtually find none of them anywhere, even if you scoure Ebay as hard as you can.
The Mothra Film:
Like the Genjintch/Caveman Tamagotchi, the Mothra Tamagotchi was released in Japenese stores because of a film. This film was called Mothra VS. Godzilla, which was made in 1964.
The story starts when a lonely, big, egg is washed onto the shores of Japan by a blazing storm. Two fisherman find the egg ad sell it to a big company, who display it to the citizens of Japan. The guarders, being two minature fairy women (who represent the poweres goodness of light), hear this news and attempt to regain their precious egg and take to the far away island they live in, called Infant Island. But the massive dinosaur, Godzilla, attacks it, and the egg is completely defenseless, before the Giant Heroine, the beautiful Mothra Mother, defends her offspring and defends the world from Godzilla.#
Mothra Tamagotchi Characters:
Adults:
Mothratchi: Mothratchi is the main character in the Mothra film and the main and best character you can get on the Mothra tamagotchi. Like in the film, Mothratchi is a massive and beautiful moth. It is said that you have to give perfect care to gain this character, so you have to give your Mothra or Batora character extra perfect care if you want to gain this adult.
Mothra (in film)
(Mothra pixel from Google Images)
Fairytchi:
Fairytchi is like a juvenile version of Mothratchi, should I say. The only difference is that it's got less wings, it's not as pretty, and its no way as big. Give your Mothra or Batora character medium to good care and you will probably have a good chance of getting this adult.
Batoratchi:
Batora is a horrible and ugly moth to look at, every aspect of it's figure is disgusting. It has white, mean looking triangular eyes, black and white grotesque wings, and three white spots, otherwise its body is completely black. Give your Mothra or Batora character a bad amount of neglect and you'll probably get this guy.
Makora:
Makora is a very boring character, but is somewhat more appealing than Batoratchi. Makora has a body that is the shape of a Morino Tamagotchi cocoon, and has 4, long and thin legs. Also when it's happy or eating some food you can't see its eyes, you can only see it's big, ugly teeth and mouth.
This character is very easy to get, if you give as much neglect as possible, as long as your character doesn't die, you should be able get Makora.
The Mothra Cocoon and the Cocoon stage:
Other than the Morino tamagotchi, the Mothra tamagotchi is the only type of tamagotchi that has the cocoon function.
The Mothra Cocoon is the 4th stage of your character's life, and it'll appear when the teenage stage has finished. It leans against the Tokyo Tower, and the character inside will make it move up and down; the cocoon has little, thin spikes, sticking out of it in differnet areas of it, this has no affect on the character inside, that is basically what the Mothra Cocoon looks like. The cocoon will stay on your screen for an hour exactly, you can't play games or anything, there is no temprature like on the Morino, you just have wait, and the adult character that comes out of it won't depend on the cocoon, it will depend on the care that you gave the character that you had before it popped in.
Adolescents:
Mothratchi Grub:
When you get the Mothra Grub, you know that your in for a good chance of getting a non-neglected and good care for adult. Mothra Grub is virtually a pretty little caterpillar like character with a big nose and a long body. You need to take good care of your Mothra Larva to get this character, if not then you'll get the other adolescent.
Batoratchi Grub:
Batoratchi Grub, like the Batoratchi Adult is incredibly ugly. In fact this character is so ugly, I can not describe what it looks like very well. What I can say is that it looks like the mixture between a swordfish with legs and an insect. If you neglect your child character, your sure to get this 'thing'.
Child:
Mothratchi Larva:
Mothratchi Larva has only just gone out of it's egg and has only just evolved from it's babyhood. This tiny little creature is the only child you can get on Mothra tamagotchi. It looks like a very small version of the Mothra Grub, apart from it's nose is way smaller, and it's body is not so strong and long, it's weak and helpless.
Baby:
Baby Mothratchi:
Baby Mothratchi is an incredibly small, and looks like a slightly bigger version of a Shirobabytchi. Like all babies, this guy will need constant care, so he can have a good life. You have him for an hour, then he'll transform into Mothratchi Larva
Secret characters:
I have no idea how to get the secret characters listed below, but I've heard that they can be hatched from an egg if you give your previous Mothratchi very good care throughout its whole life.
Moru and Rora:
Moru and Rora are the two fairy women that live on Infant Island in the Mothra film. They are probably the best and most pretty of all the secret characters on the Mothra tamagotchi. Like the Futagontesi character on Angelgotch, they are like siamese twins, apart from they are not completely identical, Moru's eyes are wide open, and Rora's eyes are closed. Some people call this character Moru and Mora, but I tend to call it Moru and Rora, which I would imagine is it's traditional name.
Go-Go:
Go-Go is the second secret character you can gain. Go-go is like unchikun in a way, he's looks like a completely white turnip, or some sort of round vegatable, with completely black eyes, and has what looks like a little stem coming out the middle of his head.
I'd say if got this guy I'd find him incredibly boring to look at, in fact, I'd probably reset him within 48 hours.
Godzillatchi:
It may not be the prettiest secret character you can get, but I'd say this is the main secret character on Mothra Tamagotchi, for one reason being, that Godzilla the dinosaur is incredibly famous.
The Bandai pixellation of Godzilla was pretty good, apart from it looked like a baby dinosaur than a huge dinosaur. Godzillatchi is black, with tiny bits of black spread across it's body. In my opinion this secret character would be the most intriguing of all the characters on Mothra to get, as there is no character on any tamagotchi other than Mothra that has a character based on a dinosaur.
That's all the characters on Mothra, to find out what they all look like click on this link and there will be a Growth Chart with names, to find the secret characters go to Pixelmood or Tamengerie and click on Mothra.

Whats the difference between Mothra and Batora?:
On the Mothra Tamagotchi there are two Groups of characters, Mothra and Batora. Mothra being the healthy and pretty group, Batora being the unhealthy and ugly group.
Characters in the Mothra Group are:
Baby Mothratchi
Mothratchi Larva
Mothratchi Grub
Mothratchi
Fairytchi
Moru and Rora
Characters in the Batora Group are:
Batoratchi Grub
Batoratchi Adult
Makora
Go-Go
Godzillatchi
You'll find when I mentioned Mothratchi and all them I said that they came from good to perfect care, and when I mentioned Batoratchi Adult and Batoratchi Grub I mentioned they came from bad care and loads of neglect. Also with Mothra Group I mentioned that they were all Pretty characters, and with Batora I mentioned they were all Grotesque and Ugly characters.
So basically you that is how you can tell Mothra characters and Batora character apart.
Icons and Mothra Functions:
1st Icon:
Like on most or all of the vintage tamagotchis the first icon is the status check icon. Press A and the icon will light up. Press B to go onto the first screen.
The first screen is the weight and age check screen. On the left hand side of the screen will be a shirobabytchi in mid-air with its mouth wide open, and a weight thing that below it. Set your eyes to the right hand side of the screen and here it will show the weight and age of your Mothra. At the top of the right hand screem there will be a digit between 1 and 99, and what looks like two blocks, this indicates how many days your Mothra has been on earth. Most of the time your Mothra will stay with you until its about 13 years old, then pass away.
Below the digits and the blocks there will be a number between 5 and 99 and the letter t (not capitalised), this is how much your Mothra weighs. It's weight won't go any higher than 99, and I also advise that you keep your character at its average weight.
On the second and third screen are japenese symbols and hearts that are either filled up or empty. This indicates if your Mothra is happy or hungry; try and keep the hearts full, this makes it a lot more likely that you'll get a character in the Mothra Group, mind you if you keep the hearts empty, then you are most certainly getting a character from the Batora group.
The 4th screen is the discipline bar. On the discpline bar screen there will be an oblong with little small points showing how much discipline you've given your Mothra, the higher the better. It will be explained on the 5th icon how you earn the discipline bars.
2nd Icon:
This icon represents a flower, which caterpillars and Grubs love to chew on and eat, which means this icon is food. Press A twice and B once and you'll see a mass of japenese symobls, the symbols at the top meaning Meal or Food, and the symbols at th bottom of the screen meaning Snack. There is no food choice, your Mothra eats fresh leaves for s meal, and a cupcake for a snack.
3rd Icon:
This icon looks like a moth's face, this is the game icon. Press A three times and B once and your Mothra will enter the Gokegin UP came.
The game is exactly the same as it is on the Genjintch Tamagotchi, apart from you have to guess which hole the Mothra head is in instead of which hole the bone is in. To choose which hole you want to go to, press A and you'll get to the hole that you picked; to check if the Mothra head is in the hole you chose press B. You have 5 attempts to find the Mothra head over three times, if you find three or four Mothra heads then your Mothra character will gain one happy heart, if you get all 5 you'll gain two or three happy hearts. Mind you if you don't suceed in spotting Mothra heads below three times then your Mothra will be unhappy and won't gain any hearts at all.
4th Icon:
The 4th icon represents a bundle of dirt, this icon is the clear up poo icon. Simply press A four times when your Mothra has pooed and press B to clear it/them away.
5th Icon:
The discipline icon. The only time you can discpline Mothra properly is when it attacks and eats the Tokyo Tower. If you hear beeping that sounds like your Mothra is going to change, and then it makes an attention calling sound, then you know that it's time to teach your little character a lesson. What you'll see when it makes these noises is what looks like a tree, which is supposedly the Tokyo Tower, and your Mothra looking really angry; you will also see the Tokyo Tower getting smaller and smaller every time your character opens its mouth, which shows that your character is gobbling it up.
To stop all this press A fives times and the tree will disappear and your Mothra will look angry, then everything will go back to normal. You will earn three discipline bars from this. If you don't discipline your Mothra it is more likely to grow into a form of Batora, which comes from bad care and looks ugly.
6th Icon:
Look at this icon you'll see two thin figures standing side by side, these people are Moru and Rora, fairies who cure your Mothra when it's ill and needs medication. When Mothra is ill press A six times and press B, and a fascinating curing process will be seen.
The two little faires, Moru and Rora, will appear on the screen, one figure on the left, one figure on the right. They'll dance from side to side beside your helplessely ill Mothra character, and gradually cure it until its fine again.
I must say its the most intriguing healing process I have ever seen on any tamagotchi.
7th Icon:
This icon resembles and shows a sun, which means lights. When Mothra has fallen to sleep press A 7 times and you'll see a screen with Japenese writing, the symobls at the top meaning on, the symbols at the bottom meaning off. Press A when you get to this screen so you go to the off symbols, then press B and all you'll see is a Z sign.
8th Icon:
This icon is the attention icon, not like all the other icons, this icon is not acsessible. It'll light up if your Mothra is asleep, Ill or needs attention in some sort of way. To make it stop from lighting up, simply do whichever thing your Mothra tells you to do.
General Mothra Information:
When you activate your Mothra tamagotchi pull the tab out of the right hand side of it, this will make a bug looking egg appear on the screen, now Press B and the clock menu will appear. To put the time on your Mothra to the time in reality simply press A to set the hour, and B to set the minute; after this press C, then B and it'll go back to the egg. Wait a few minutes and Moru and Rora will appear on the screen and bring your Mothra egg to life. Its just the same as the ill process, and yet again I can say its an exceedingly intriguing hatching process.
Your Mothra will live for ten days or just a bit more, then it'll leave. The leaving process is very saddening. Your Mothra will beep the sound when it needs attention continuesly, whilst the screen is showing your character lying down with the ill sign above it. The attention sound will get faster and faster, and so will the ill sign; eventually it'll go so fast that your character will disappear and all that is on the screen will be what looks like a Holy Cross, which is attached to a grave. Press A and C and you can bring up a new Mothra.
When Mothra runs out of batteries you'll need two things:
1) A pair of small round batteries called LR44, which you can buy at a store.
2) And a kit of small and sharped tipped screwdrivers, as all vintage tamagotchis have incredibly small screws.
When you have opened your tamagotchi take the old batteries out slowly, and put the new ones in slowly as well. Then put the screws back in and tighten it up so the back of the shell doesn't fall off, and voila! Your done.
Also you can't buy Mothra Tamagotchi in a store, you need to go on ebay, especially on Jason's Store, he sells loads of vintage tamagotchis for reasonable prices.
My personal notes on Mothra No Tamagotchi:
I adore this tamagotchi for various reasons. They are quite cheap and quite common, the characters are interesting and cute, the designs are awesome and they are a great, medium maintenance pet!
If you have just got a Mothra or are keen to purchase one and find out its functions this guide should make you more intriuged and hopefully make you buy one and know what to do with one when it arrives at your house.
There my guides folks! More will be posted here in the future!
